Vietnam trip with one-year old baby!

久々すぎる更新になります。

その間に都内でお引越し、娘も生まれ、色々と変化がありました。

blogは読み返すと自分の考えや感じた事を改めて振り返る事ができ、備忘録としてもいいですね！

これからは、ちょっと今までと変えて。。

つたないですが。。日常の事など英語で書いたりもしていきたいと思います！

今回は、1歳になったばかりと家族でベトナム旅行に行ったお話です。

 My family traveled to Da Nang in Vietnam for 5days in late May. It was the second time that our one-year old daughter visited Vietnam.  We didn’t choose Vietnam in particular, but since it’s their dry season, we decided to go.

Our big concern was whether it was possible to spend time smoothly while with our little baby.

Before the trip, we prepared lots of baby food…packaged rice, cookies and bottles of water. We carefully took care of her health.

However, just as we feared, she got a fever 2days before traveling. She had an intravenous drip for 2days in the hospital, we got several medicines. On the day we left, thankfully her fever went down.

Da Nang was a beautiful place, quiet seas, great hospitality and very nice food at our hotel.

We spent most of the days at the private beach area, and finished reading a few books at the beach. The hotel kindly gave us an upgraded room. They even put a microwave in the room, so we could heat up the baby’s food every day. She crawled on the beach chairs with a smile every day.

In Japanese, we say “The trip ins’t over until you get back home”. Although she didn’t sleep well in the airplane on the way back (we could only sleep 2hours) we came home safely, we were so relieved that we could finish our trip safely. We arrived home 9am in the morning. After we took a nap, when I touched my baby’s arm, she was very warm.

We took her temperature, she was 39.2 temperature again… Our concern continued over the weekend.

Although our daughter’s health was a concern, we still had a enjoyable trip. It was nice to relax on the beach and not think about house keeping matters for a few days…!
